Professor Eshraghian is best known in international arena as being one of the fathers of CMOS VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) having influenced two generations of researchers in both academia and industry. In 1979, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, after spending some ten years with Philips Research, both in Australia and Europe. In 1994, he was invited to take up the Foundation Chair of Computer, Electronics and Communications Engineering in Western Australia, and became Head of School of Engineering and Mathematics, and Distinguished University Professor and subsequently became the Director of Electron Science Research Institute. In 2004 he founded Elabs as part of his vision for horizontal integration of nanoelectronics with those of bio and photon-based technologies, thus creating a new design domain for System on System (SoS) integration. In 2007 he was the holder of inaugural Ferrero Family Chair in Electrical Engineering and visiting Professor of Engineering at University of California, Merced, prior to his move in 2009 to CBNU, Korea, as Distinguished Professor to lead the World Class University program. He has co-authored six textbooks, and lectured widely in both academia and industry on Extended Intelligence (EI) and in multi technology systems. His current interests remain in Digital Healthcare and application of EI (Extended Intelligence) within computational neuro-science space. He has founded six high technology companies, providing intimate link between university research and industry.

Mr Frank O'Neill

Frank O’Neill has had a career of almost thirty years in University Management with The University of Melbourne and The University of Adelaide where he held the position of University Registrar (Chief Operating Officer) for sixteen years. As Registrar he made major contributions to planning and the development of the University Campuses, to Business Relations and the commercialisation of Intellectual Property and to International Education. He also held many leadership roles in the Australian Higher Education System; in particular, he led the development and implementation of common system wide industrial awards and pay benchmarks and the development of software specifications for whole of enterprise activity. He has acted as a consultant to projects in Indonesia, Malawi, Singapore and Malaysia where he established a successful education business operating from headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He has held visiting appointments at The University of Bath UK and at The College of William & Mary US and as an Adjunct Professor in The Faculty of Commerce at Charles Sturt University Australia. Frank has held several Directorships in Start Up companies based on IP developed by The University of Adelaide; two of these companies eventually listed on ASX. Frank has been the recipient of Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) as well as several awards.
He has held Directorships in several private companies in the education and services industries in Australia and Asia. As an experienced Director he fully understands Board’s primary responsibilities for governance oversight and monitoring company performance, strategic planning, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Crawford Yorke is the Managing Counsel of a Western Australian government department and a Special Counsel at Loughton Yorke Lawyers. He is admitted to practice as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and High Court of Australia. He has experience advising clients across a broad range of commercial, immigration, employment, wills & estates, and liquor licencing legal matters and continues to practice in those areas of law. Crawford regularly acts in relation to disputes and advises established businesses & new enterprises in relation to their corporate governance, threats, and opportunities. He regularly prepares business sale & purchase agreements and advises in relation to employment relations and implementation of business investor & skilled employment visa programs for business.

Dr. Peter Foster is an accomplished entrepreneur with experience that span from startup through to public company environments. He received his PhD in Physics from the University of Adelaide. Peter is a creative scientist with wide-ranging skills in developing innovative technologies for global markets. He has founded and grown numerous technology and commercial ventures. Peter’s interests and experience include early-stage technology commercialisation through to distribution, boutique retail and eCommerce. He is a commercially-driven technologist at heart and thrives on building value around opportunity. Peter has extensive experience with the invention and intellectual property protection process and holds over 50 international patents in diverse areas including optics, precision timing, semiconductor memory architectures and cardiac measurement technologies. He was founder, CTO and General Manager of ChronoLogic Pty. Ltd, a precision synchronisation and timing company, held positions of Senior Laser Physicist at Norseld Pty. Ltd, (medical laser manufacturer) as well as Guest Scientist at the Department of Metallic Materials, University of Bayreuth, Germany. Peter was appointed non-executive Director of Aerometrex (ASX:AMX) prior to the company’s public listing. He has provided strategic advice to several early-stage companies Australia and in the US, in healthcare. Peter is on the advisory board of US Precision Medicine that is developing a novel cancer therapeutic, and remains as a mentor to the executive team of San Diego based pharmaceutical services company VivoSense.

Professor Jason K. Eshraghian

Jason K. Eshraghian is an Assistant Professor and Fulbright Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He received the B.Eng and LLB (Juris Doctor equivalent) degrees from the University of Western Australia in 2016, a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia in 2019, followed by a postdoctoral research fellow position at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI from 2019-2022. He joined the faculty of UC Santa Cruz in 2022. Prof. Eshraghian’s research interest includes low-power machine learning and neuromorphic learning systems. To date, Jason has been awarded 7 IEEE Best Paper and Best Live Demonstration Awards. He is the developer of snnTorch, a widely used Python library for training and modelling spiking neural networks, which has had over 250,000 downloads. He is a Scientific Advisory Board Member of BrainChip, Conscium, the Secretary of the IEEE Neural Systems and Applications Technical Committee, and an Associate Editor of APL Machine Learning.

Mr. Greg Jones

Greg Jones is an experienced systems architect, having worked in the medical software domain for over fifteen years covering DICOM imaging and HL7 communication arena. His activities within this domain have included 3D prosthesis design and modelling. Greg has also worked in the defence sector designing parts of the tidal analysis and prediction system, and on the radar system JORN.

Pico Goh, is an IT professional with over 30 years’ experience in several IT related enterprises and global software solutions companies. Pico as a key executive consultant has also been involved in designing the Global Samsung Training and Education Center, which continues to be a primary Samsung Human Resource Development Platform. He played a crucial role as the Akamai Korea Engagement Manager, overseeing the delivery of edge content delivery services to Samsung, Hyundai, and other industries in Korea. Pico has a strong background in cybersecurity, having been instrumental in the early deployment of global solution the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 and has achieved the very first successful sale of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). He is an innovative visionary with a balanced blend of business experience and technical capability that includes extensive experience across security services, mobile technology, network management, cloud computing, content delivery networks (CDN), and big data services. Pico has established a broad global network of professionals in sales, marketing, and technology.
